Does The Black Vogue and Obama Go Hand In Hand For Fashion?

Black Models. Since the beginnings of time, they have always been second or third best in the fashion industry, and that is such a shame. The world of beauty is and has always been more than fair skin. Now, Italian Vogue, or what is now be coined the Black Vogue, has caused worldwide attention to the underused black models by placing them throughout the entire magazine. Yes, and only black models.
The photographer, Steven Meisel, of all the great shots in the magazine is quoted as stating his disgust with the prejudice in the fashion industry, and when he would even request to shoot black females the response he would get would be a flat out NO. What a shame.
Is it that black hasn't ever been fashionable? And since when was the color of skin fashion? Isn't it the clothing, accesories, etc. Better yet, the magazine's editor, Franca Sozzani, stated that it was actually protests as well as seeing Barack Obama make it so far that made her desire to use black models.
So is it that now because of protests and Obama that the black models are 'in' and can bring more money to the table? Italian Vogue may have done something that has never been done before, but the remarks made by the editor cause it so seem not so built on doing what is right versus the whole money in the bank by capitalizing on Barack Obama.
But then again, maybe she is legit in her (Franca Sozzani)claim that it is just that "We were trying to think of something new, Obama was fighting Hillary, and I began to notice that all these girls at fashion shows looked alike." Again, what has Obama got to do with it? The answer - much. That said, is the whole I want to showcase black women for simply who they are and to stomp on the stereotypes really the reason for the Black Vogue issue? If Obama loses, will the black model suddenly be out of style again?
The underappearance of black models in fashion is nothing more than a disgrace, and though there are questions about the real reason for making Black Vogue, they still deserve applause for simply pushing forward and doing it. Great job to the editor, Franca Sozzani, and of course, one of the best photographers in the world who has never been a sucker for only one race, Steven Meisel.

Tyra is absolutely gorgeous as she sports the First Lady gear out of tribute to Michelle Obama, who may just wind up being the first black First Lady. Because of this, Tyra Banks is truly proud and desired to represent it well in the photos.
According to Harper's Bazaar, Tyra stated "Without Michelle, he wouldn’t be there.”
This statement shows how much Tyra believes that behind a great man is a great woman.

And the fashion industry will miss him deeply as Yves Saint Laurent has died at the age of 71 in Paris. Bringing the runway styles that everyone adored, he was a master of the art of fashion. Leaving home to work for Christain Dior at the age of 17, becoming a solider in the French military and even undergoing psychiatric treatment, Laurent rose to the occasion becoming the founder of YSL in 1962 along with partner, Pierre Berge.
Some gave tribute to the designer like his former partner, Pierre Berge - "Chanel gave women freedom. Yves Saint Laurent gave them power. He was someone who was very shy and introverted, who had only very few friends and hid himself from the world.
Like all creators, Yves Saint Laurent had two faces, a public face and a private face.
He no longer liked the world of today's fashion... he said it didn't understand him. He had a great, immense love affair with fashion. It's true that he left the profession, but in a couple you can split up because you must do so ... and still be very unhappy. That was his case."

Naomi Charged With Assault, Bad Language and Disorderly Conduct

We doubt that the supermodel Naomi Campbell is laughing about these days. She has recently been charged with assault. Assault to who? Two police officers! This all began when she was in London at the Heathrow Airport, and there was a dispute about some baggage. Well, she was arrested then last month, and now she is being charged.
There are five charges in total which include disorderly conduct, abusive language to airline crew, assaulting a constable and of course the cop crime of assault.
Poor Naomi. She isn't getting a break. Her temper is off the charts as everyone in the runway world knows, but who can truly stop her. When she's on a roll, she is on a roll. Needless to say, Naomi is furious over the charges.

Call it what you will, but it is only rumored that Tyra Banks may be headed out and runway walking away from ANTM. No one knows when or why but it is said and only said that there is some sort of nasty beef smelling between her and Jay. Not only that, but she may prefer to focus on The Tyra Banks Show as a more mature base for her future.

Tyra Banks is already known to be that mogul of a model. She has her own production company, supermodel, actress and the list continues to climb with her as a talk show host of her own Tyra Banks Show. Will she add mommy to the list? Looks like she has always thought about it and desired to since a small child, therefore, regardless of whether or not the baby comes from her womb or not, she wants to have one.
Tyra is quoted as saying "I've wanted to adopt since I was nine. I have a connection with children and they don't have to come from my womb for me to have that connection."
This is excellent news and hopefully one day, Tyra can make that additional dream come true.

Alright...regardless of who likes it or doesn't..Heather Kuzmich is a born model. Wow is all the we can say here at Runway 411! She didn't make it to her go sees on time which is a major no no in the modeling industry as everyone who has modeled ever knows and Heather already knew. Hey...she couldn't read Chinese, but the girl can read photos.
Honestly, Runway 411 gives her top prize over all the girls when it comes to taking pics. It was like she transformed in front of the camera...no matter how ackward she believed that she was or anyone else. Don't run into natural beauty like that often.
Her attitude was great the entire time and she tried in her runway walk...a bit off...but she walked. At any rate, Runway 411 believes that she still deserves a slot the world of top modeling. She was fabulous at print! However, it seems that when it comes to America's Next Top Model, they want the girl that can do it all! The overall great model.
Runway 411 knows for sure that as far as print work, Heather has it on lock!
