The monsters and the claws have officially come out against Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel, and it’s all because America’s Next Top Model’s executive producer Tyra Banks has FIRED them all at once!
I’m not going to lie about it, this is a modeling mess. Number two, I have stopped watching the show a long time ago, but was there for a while glued to the tube, so to find that Tyra Banks is taking America’s Next Top Model in another direction by kicking Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel to the curb is a shocker. Maybe even shocker enough for me to watch when it airs next season!
Get this though, Tyra Banks even left them an XOXO message on facebook!
“To my Nigel Barker, Miss J, and Mr Jay: Thank you for all of our years together on America’s Next Top Model! Working with you is always an absolute pleasure. Excited for what the future holds for us. XOXO, TyTy”
Before getting all crazy on Tyra, this couldn’t have been just her decision. Due to the fall of viewers, surely the network had it in for them as well, and as they should already know – business comes before personal. Bottom line is that all of them have participated in the tossing of wanna be models from the show, therefore, they should already know fairly well how to take getting axed, right?
Well, according to Nigel Barker the super photographer, he may have no hard feelings but he knows already that they will have a hard time replacing him. Nigel has told TMZ: “Good luck to whoever [replaces me]. I would imagine it’s a tricky thing to replace someone who’s going on their 19th season.”
This is no hot surprise. The simple fact that they canned all three ANTM fixtures at the same time has already boosted the ratings, therefore, it was a bright business idea for now. The problem comes when they find out that it really wasn’t those three who did the show in.
The show actually became irritating when it was more outrageous versus reality, causing it to look very false and begging versus real and natural. We’ll see what happens.
