“Model City” Takes It To The Male Minority Model; New Series

by admin on 02/16/2010

The almost similar to ghosts of the modeling industry are the minority male models.  When is it that we see them and why not as much as any woman or other ethnicity gracing covers and sporting the latest threads?  This is what a new eight episode series from Centric will take us into, and the series is called Model City.  It premieres on February 18th at 8pm as if follows the lives of minority males that want to model a bit more than what the game has allowed in the industry of fashion.

Clip of press release:

The series consists of eight 30-minute episodes that examines the contrast of the model’s glamorous runway lifestyles with the realities of being a black model — fewer jobs, more competition, as well as the general struggle to stay on top of the game while handling rejection, exhausting schedules, jealous girlfriends, and the personal insecurities that can come along with the job

Here are some of the faces of Model City, and you be the judge of what is the hold up for these young black male models?  See more photos at CentricTV.
